Victor L. was born on July 20th, 1884 in Pike Co., AL.1 Victor L.'s father was John Wesley Smart and his mother was Emily Cuba Reeves. His paternal grandparents were William Edward Smart and Avis Driggers. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Charles B., Selman H., John, Mattie Pauline, Nettie Isabelle and Callie Irene. Victor L. Smart Dies In Hospital
Victor L. Smart, 57 of Rt. 2 Banks, died at a Veterans Hospital in
Montgomery Sunday after a long illness.
He is survived by four brothers, Charles Smart, Troy: John Smart,
Birmingham: James Smart, Waverly, ILL: Selman Smart, Rt. 2 Banks: three
sisters, Mrs. Mattie Russell, Columbus, Ga.: Mrs. Nettie B. Windham, Rt.
2 Banks: Mrs. S. P. Orr, Nashville, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at McGehee
Funeral Home with Elder F. A. Collins officiating. Burial will be in
Oakwood Cemetery with McGehee in charge.
Pallbearers will be J. L. Bruce, Albert Shaver, Cowart Sanders, John M.
Trotman, Wilson Andress and Sam Williams.
