William James Russell 
William James was born on March 15th, 1854 in Butler Co., AL.1 William James' father was William James Russell and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Spradley. His paternal grandparents were Simon Russell and Nancy Love; his maternal grandparents were Bryant A. Spradley and Frances Payne. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Manning, John Simon, Thomas J., Jasper Newton, George Washington, Elizabeth Jane, Mahazy Ellen, Sarah Louisa, Martha Minerva, Mary Frances and Loyis Jesse. He died at the age of 80 on November 8th, 1934 in Bodcaw, Nevada Co., AR. He was buried in Ebeneezer Cemetery.1 1 -
