Elizabeth Jane was born on October 11th, 1850 in Butler Co., AL.1 Elizabeth Jane's father was William James Russell and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Spradley. Her paternal grandparents were Simon Russell and Nancy Love; her maternal grandparents were Bryant A. Spradley and Frances Payne. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Manning, John Simon, William James, Thomas J., Jasper Newton, George Washington, Mahazy Ellen, Sarah Louisa, Martha Minerva, Mary Frances and Loyis Jesse. She died at the age of 82 on November 7th, 1932 in Stamps, AR. She was buried in Sardis Cemetery.1 1 -
