Arminue Alice Miller 
Arminue Alice was born on April 4th, 1870 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Arminue Alice's father was John McBride, Jr. Miller and her mother was Martha Ann Logan. Her paternal grandparents were John McBride, Sr. Miller and Martha Ann Gibson; her maternal grandparents were H. Alexander Logan and Martha Ann Smith. She had three brothers named Eli Walter, Berry Wilbert and John Thomas, Sr.. She was the oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Joseph Alexander, Nancy J. and Laura Emma. She died at the age of 76 on February 5th, 1947 in Gorman, Eastland Co., TX.1 General Notes

What I can tell you about Armenue Alice Miller is what I have heard my
aunts talk about. They often stayed with her when they were
young..Especially my mother. Armenue is what her son called her. My
oldest aunt living says that she died of Brights disease...kidney
disease..her legs would swell up and crack they were so bad. She also
had a cat that she believed talked..And when she talked to it, it would
meow back at her and sound like it said yes and no. She was a great
believer in dreams. Everything you dreamed had a meaning to her. Scared
my aunts sometime with her warnings of what their dreams or her dreams
meant.
My Aunt Jakey has two textbooks belonging to Armenue. One has her
name in it and the other one has Mattie's name in it. She was married to
my ggrandfather Stonewall A. Johnson Stewart, they were married in 17
Oct. 1891 my aunt said in Coosa County, AL. Stonewall died when my
grandfather was 19 years old. and my grandfather had to come home from
college where he was attending Telegraphy School in MO. to take care of
his mother and the younger children..
He farmed his Daddy's farm there in Gorman, TX this is Eastland
County for years. When Armenue died she divided the farm up... Mostly
they grew peanuts. Then when my grandfather was older and living in
Sundown, TX . All his brothers and sisters got what u call a peanut
allotment for not growing that year. My relatives still own the farm land
that was owned by Armenue. Armenue remarried...i don't know what year to
a man named Clareman. I hope to find this info out soon..There were no
children from this marriage. The way my Aunts talked Armenue's children
were grown..and they never called Clareman anything but Mr. Clareman.
This is the personal stuff i know abt Armenue Alice Miller. Will write
dates and things later of her children and who they married if u are
interested. I really appreciate the information you sent me on the M.

grandfather was abt 19 and he had to come home from school to take care
of the family.
2nd husbands last name was Clareman. Armine was buried next to him.
I have an aunt and cousin still in Gorman...I am going to ask them to go
to the cemetery and find out this Clareman's first name. Also how
Arminie is spelled. I can't think u enough for finally sitting me
straight on my line...But that is exactly the ones that I needed. I am
still continuing research so maybe I will run on to something u need one
