William A. John was born on October 11th, 1895 in Sylacauga, Talladega Co., AL.1 William A. John's father was Stonewall A. Johnson Stewart and his mother was Arminue Alice Miller. His paternal grandparents were William Archie Stewart and Mary Jane Riddle; his maternal grandparents were John McBride, Jr. Miller and Martha Ann Logan. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Stonewall Fitzhugh Lee, No Name Given, John, Janie, Rosa Arminue, Viola Vida and No Name Given. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 87 on February 21st, 1983 in Sundown, Hockley Co., TX.1 -
