T. Knox McEwen 
T. Knox was born on October 1st, 1889 in Coosa Co., AL.1 T. Knox's father was James Thomas McEwen and his mother was Margaret Emily Knox. His paternal grandparents were George Washington McEwen and Mary Catherine Sears. He had two brothers and a sister, named James Leonard, Joseph Aden and Sally Emily. He was the oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named George Hannon, John Alton, Sr., Lenora and Alice Eulala. He died at the age of 74 on July 17th, 1964 in AL. He was buried in Sears Chapel Methodist Ch. Cemetery, north of Rockford, Coosa Co., AL..1 1 General Notes

"Prof. Knox McEwen left Saturday for Birmingham where he will take a
course in a commerical college preparatory, a taking up of duties of the
new bank to be opened in Rockford."(1)

McEwen - Pond
"Cupid let alone will get in his work. Proof of this is that, on last
Sunday morning Knox McEwen, cashier of the Bank of Rockford, armed
himself with the authority of the State of Alabama, bided himself to the
bride’s residence in town and called for Miss Pearl Pond, one of the
Rockford’s popular young ladies, and notified her that he had called for
the purpose of consummating the contract previously entered into. Cupid
still sitting as the judge. Bro. Moman as spokesman, and the necessary
witness being present, a life contract was entered into; and Knox McEwen
and Miss Pearl Pond were made husband and wife. The many friends of the
couple wish for them a long, happy and useful life."(1)
