This is Johnnie McEwen Johnson. I just wanted you to know that my only
brother, Roger Bryant McEwen died at aprx. 4 a. m. on the fourth day of
July while on call for the Coosa County Fire Dept., Hanover Division. He
died like he lived, helping someone else. He was given a fireman's
funeral with honors, even though he was a volunteer fireman for his
county. I have lost my only brother, my only sibling, the light of my
life. Please put this in your genealogy of the McEwen family. I wanted
to let you know about this because he was loved by so many people. He
was buried today at Andrews Chapel Cemetery in Hanover. Thank you,
