Her paternal grandparents were James Hill McEwen and Martha Ann Snead; her maternal grandparents were Pollard Payne and Sara Elizabeth Franklin. She had a brother and two sisters, named James Pollard, Louisa Antoinette and Sarah Jane. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Thomas, Alexander Hamilton Stevens, William Franklin, Mary Melvina and Nancy Caroline. She died in ?.1 -
