Mary Ann was born about 1821 in GA.1 Mary Ann's father was John Jacks and her mother was Jane Maxey. Her paternal grandparents were William Greenberry Jacks and Delilah Young; her maternal grandparents were Hail Maxey and Dicey Craighead. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Cass Anderson, Sam, Greenbury Hale, Young, Issac Marion, John A., Doctor Franklin, Lucy Ann, Delila Jane, Sarah Elvira, Emily Frances and Martha Karen Paralee. She was the third oldest of the thirteen children. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named James Monore, Archibald E., Margaret, Alabama, Alice Blanche and Melissa Eugenia. Hi Ron, Saw you query at Rootsweb on the Green B. Lamb and Mary Ann Jacks
marriage and I made a copy of their marriage license yesterday for a
couple of friends...they married in Chambers County, Alabama on October
24, 1839. Marriage bond signed by Green B. Lamb and Joshua Lamb. Hope
