Martha H. was born about 1844 in MS.1 Martha H.'s father was Lewis G. Harding and her mother was Elizabeth Jane Yancey. Her paternal grandparents were Mark Harding and Agnes Nancy Hode. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Ferdinand S., Alonzo Bruce, Parmenco Claylos, Phillip A., Lewis Parkinson, William Mark, Jonnie T., Donzella Ann, Arribella Angidine and Dulca Bella Jane.
