Genevia Montrey was born on February 15th, 1868 in Lafayette Co., MS.1 Genevia Montrey's father was Ferdinand S. Harding and her mother was Emily Elizabeth Baker. Her paternal grandparents were Lewis G. Harding and Elizabeth Jane Yancey; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Baker and Elizabeth Jane Hickey. She had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas F., Joseph Alonzo, Andrew A. and Freddie E.. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 69 on March 16th, 1937 in Lafayette Co., MS. She was buried in Yocona Cemetery, Lafayette Co., MS.1 1 General Notes
