Blanche Gertrude Grimes 
Blanche Gertrude was born on September 1st, 1914.1 Blanche Gertrude's father was James Robert Grimes and her mother was Minnie Florence Watkins. Her paternal grandparents were James Shorter Grimes and Malissa Tillis; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Watkins and Mary Finlayson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James Duell, Oris Thomas, Eugene Wilson, Ferrin Hugh, Malissa Florence, Mary Myrtle, Lillian Leona and Eva Wilson. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.-
