Talla Gavin 
Talla was born on November 15th, 1890 in Walton County, Florida.1 Talla's father was Samuel Jefferson Gavin and his mother was Rachael Steele. His paternal grandparents were Charles W. Gavin and Mary Ann Garrett. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Shelby, Barnie, Chesley, Birdie and Myrtle Lee. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 70 on November 1st, 1961 in DeFuniak Springs, Walton County, Florida.1 -
