Myrtle Lee was born on March 24th, 1907 in Laurel Hill, Walton County, Florida.1 Myrtle Lee's father was Samuel Jefferson Gavin and her mother was Rachael Steele. Her paternal grandparents were Charles W. Gavin and Mary Ann Garrett. She had four brothers and a sister, named Talla, Shelby, Barnie, Chesley and Birdie. She was the youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 72 on July 30th, 1979 in Winter Haven, Florida.1 -
