Barnie Gavin 
Barnie was born on May 17th, 1901 in Laurel Hill, Walton County, Florida.1 Barnie's father was Samuel Jefferson Gavin and his mother was Rachael Steele. His paternal grandparents were Charles W. Gavin and Mary Ann Garrett. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Talla, Shelby, Chesley, Birdie and Myrtle Lee. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 52 on June 7th, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia.1 -
