John William Garrett 
John William was born on January 1st, 1828.1 John William's father was Jonathan Garrett and his mother was Jane Higgins. His paternal grandparents were John Garrett and Sallie Mauldin. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Elijah, Elijah, William Mansel, Newton Jasper, Sally, Jannetty, Polly and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 65 on March 15th, 1893. He was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Clay County, Alabama.1 1 -
