Cecil T. was born on June 9th, 1918 in Milligan, Okaloosa County, Florida.1 Cecil T.'s father was Thomas Leroy Garrett and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Chestnut. His paternal grandparents were William Thorton Garrett and Sarah Elizabeth Bush. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James L., Baby Boy, William Huel, Leroy J., Altha M., Etha and Ethel. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 59 on October 23rd, 1977 in Okaloosa County, Florida. He was buried in Milligan Baptist Cemetery, Okaloosa County, Florida.1 1 -
