John Sheridan Garrett 
John Sheridan was born on January 3rd, 1831 in Coffee County, Alabama.1 John Sheridan's father was William Walter Garrett and his mother was Nancy Sansom. His paternal grandparents were Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and Mary* Ann Clackler. He had five brothers and six sisters, named William Robert, Thomas Jefferson, Joshua Mace, Stephen Butler, Eli Shorter, Lucy Ann, Mary Ann, Elizabeth Ann, Eliza Ann, Nancy Ann and Sophia Ann. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 62 on December 30th, 1893. He was buried in Old Bethel Cemetery, Crestview, Okaloosa County, Florida.1 1 General Notes
