William Parson Evans

Moved with his parents to Georgia. He moved to Alabama and lived in
Benton County in 1850. He was an early settler of Cleburne County and
resided at Sugar Hill, just north of Heflin. A planter and a slave owner
he acquired much land and many slaves and built a fine home.
‌William Parson and Elizabeth Ann were married in a religious ceremony on November 4th, 1824 in GA.1 They had fourteen sons and two daughters, named Alexander Thomas, John Murroe, James Kirkham, William Henry, Robert, Greenbury Garrett, John, Hiram Martin, Isaac, Asbury, Wesley, Mathew Jones, Matthew Jones, Joseph M., Margaret and Elizabeth.
