Sophia Saxon Elmore

Sophia Saxon was born on October 18th, 1794 in Laurens Co., SC.¹ Sophia Saxon's father was John Archer Elmore and her mother was Mary Ann Sarah Saxon. Her paternal grandparents were Archelas Elmore and Susannah Morris; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Saxon and Elizabeth Perry. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Benjamin Thomas, Franklin Harper, Narcissa and Charlotte Perry. She had ten half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John Archer, Jr., Morris Martin, William Augustus, Luther Alfred, Henry Marshall, Laurence Ludlow, Physick Rush, Winfield Scott, Albert Standhope, James Scott, Susan Elizabeth, Sarah Terry, Mary Martin and Ann Harriet. She died at the age of 31 on November 13th, 1825 in SC.¹
