Albert Clanton was born on December 25th, 1906 in Laurel Hill, Walton County, Florida.1 Albert Clanton's father was William Jason Davis and his mother was Eliza Ida F. Cutts. His paternal grandparents were James Monroe Davis and Sarah Caroline Steele. He had four brothers and a sister, named Clarence, Harley Lance, Ellis Lowell, Floyd Devoe and Benrice. He was the third youngest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Leon Eugene, Edward, Clinton, Wilma Geraldine and Ina Ma. He died at the age of 68 on December 28th, 1974 in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. He was buried in Ebenezer Cemetery, Laurel Hill, Florida.1 1 -
