Perry Dudley Culver 
Perry Dudley was born on May 14th, 1847 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Perry Dudley's father was Asa Oliver Culver and his mother was Nancy Jane Pody. His paternal grandparents were Nathan A., Jr. Culver and Nacy J. Rayfield; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Pody and Nancy Dudley. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Nathan Andrew, George Pierce, Henry Evans, William Grier, Oliver Tatner, Sarah A., Mary Adeline and Nancy Emily. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 81 on January 5th, 1929 in Coosa Co., AL. He was buried in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Coosa Co., AL..1 1 General Notes

"P. D. Culver and W. R. Miller of Salem neighborhood were in town

"A HAWK TALE
P. D. Culver, residing out in that section of the county where those
hawks (mentioned in the Chronicle) were killed several weeks ago, was in
town the latter part of last week, and speaking of hawks Mr. Culver said:
"You can scarcely miss those that were destroyed, there remains enough to
be very destructive to our poultry.
It's a pity that the boys haven't some more woods to fire, as no
progress could be made by shooting just one at a time." (2)
Local and Personal
"P. D. Culver, an old confederate veteran who saw a lot of service during
the war, was in Rockford last Saturday. Mr. Culver has recently been
placed upon the pension roll and received his check for the little
allowance while here."(3)
