George Pierce Culver 
George Pierce was born on November 21st, 1851 in Coosa Co., AL.1 George Pierce's father was Asa Oliver Culver and his mother was Nancy Jane Pody. His paternal grandparents were Nathan A., Jr. Culver and Nacy J. Rayfield; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Pody and Nancy Dudley. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Perry Dudley, Nathan Andrew, Henry Evans, William Grier, Oliver Tatner, Sarah A., Mary Adeline and Nancy Emily. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 75 on February 20th, 1927 in Chilton Co., AL.
