Carity Barfield 
Carity was born on December 14th, 1762 in Sampson Co., NC.1 Carity's father was Jesse Francis Barfield and her mother was Sarah Castellaw. Her paternal grandfather was Richard Barfield; her maternal grandparents were James, Sr. Castellaw and Sarah Williams. She had six brothers named Frederick, Stephen, Solomon, Lewis, John and Thomas. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 38 in 1800 in KY.1 -
