Robert de was born in 0912 in Grave au Meaux. Robert de's father was Comte Herbert II VERMANDOIS and his mother was Hildebrante (Liegarde) of NUESTRIA. His paternal grandparents were Count Herbert I De VERMANDOIS and Beatrice de MORVOIS; his maternal grandparents were King Robert I FRANKS and Queen of France Beatrice of VERMANDOIS. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Albert I the Pious De, Renaud (Rognvald) de Vermandois de, Sprota Adela of, Alix (Adela) av, Luitgarde de and Gerberge. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 56 on August 29th, 0968.-
