Albert I the Pious De was born in 0915 in Dictionarie de la Noblesse 1876 p. 619. Albert I the Pious De's father was Comte Herbert II VERMANDOIS and his mother was Hildebrante (Liegarde) of NUESTRIA. His paternal grandparents were Count Herbert I De VERMANDOIS and Beatrice de MORVOIS; his maternal grandparents were King Robert I FRANKS and Queen of France Beatrice of VERMANDOIS. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Robert de, Renaud (Rognvald) de Vermandois de, Sprota Adela of, Alix (Adela) av, Luitgarde de and Gerberge. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 63 on September 7th, 0978 in Saint Quentin, Belgium.-
