Eleanor was born in 1215 in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England.  Eleanor's father was John I "Lackland" Plantagenet King of England and her mother was Isabella Taillefer de Angouleme.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry II "Curt Mantel" King of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were Aymer (Adhemar) Taillefer de Angouleme and Alice de Courtenay. She had two brothers and a sister, named Henry III Plantagenet King of, Richard and Joan. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Richard, Hugh XI de, William de, Joan and Alice de.  She died at the age of 60 on April 13th, 1275 in Montargis Abbey, Loiret, Orleanais/Centre, France.

‌Eleanor and Simon V de were married in a religious ceremony in Kings Chapel, Westminster Palace, Middlesex, England.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Richard FitzSimon de, Guy de and Eleanor de.
