Simon V de was born about 1208 in Montfort-l'Amaury Castle, Ile-de-France, France.  Simon V de's father was Simon IV de Montfort , Earl of Leicester and his mother was Alice de Montmorency.  His paternal grandparents were Simon III Chauve de Montfort , Count d'Evereux and Amice de Beaumont; his maternal grandparents were Bouchard V de Montmorency and Laurette de Hainault. He had a brother and a sister, named Amaury VII de and Guiburge de.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died on August 4th, 1265 in Battle of Evesham, Worcestershire, England.
