Eleanor de was born on September 29th, 1252 in Kenilworth Castle, Warwickshire, England. Eleanor de's father was Simon V de Montfort , Earl of Leicester and her mother was Eleanor Plantagenet , Princess of England. Her paternal grandparents were Simon IV de Montfort , Earl of Leicester and Alice de Montmorency; her maternal grandparents were John I "Lackland" Plantagenet King of England and Isabella Taillefer de Angouleme. She had two brothers named Richard FitzSimon de and Guy de. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 29 in June 1282 in Llanfaes, Gwynedd, Wales.-
