Eleanor of was born in 1123 in Chateau de Belin-Beliet, Gironde, Aquitaine, France.  Eleanor of's father was William VIII Count of Poitou X Duke of Aquitaine and her mother was Eleanor de Chatellerault.  Her paternal grandparents were William VII Count of Poitou IX Duke of Aquitaine and Maud (Philippa) de Toulouse; her maternal grandparents were Aimery (Almeric) I Vicomte de Chatellerault and Dangereuse de L'Isle Bouchard. She had a sister named Adelaide (Adele) d'.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 81 on March 31st, 1204 in Fontevraud-l'Abbaye, Touraine, France.


Eleanor of's first family with Louis VII "The Younger" King of France

‌Eleanor of and Louis VII "The Younger" King of were married in a religious ceremony on July 22nd, 1137 in Bordeaux, Gironde, France (divorced 1152).  They had three daughters named Agnes Capet Princess of, Marie Capet Princess of and Alix Princess of.
