August Carl Jacob

August Carl was born on September 3rd, 1849 in Grosherzothum, Baden, Germany.  August Carl's father was William Jacob and his mother was Katherine. He had three brothers and a sister, named Christian, Frederick, Louis and Katherine.  He died at the age of 64 on April 28th, 1914 in Fort Madison, Donnelson, Lee Co, Iowa.  He was buried in Highland Cemetery.

‌August Carl and Elisabeth were married in a religious ceremony on February 9th, 1873 in Franklin, Lee Co, Iowa.  They had nine sons and four daughters, named John Alfred, Carl August Jr, Christian Theodore, Frederick Louis, George William, Henry Albert, Herman Hugo, Oscar Benjamin, Peter Ernest, Amelia Ruth, Catherine Anna, Freda Elizabeth and Martha Barbara.
