Elisabeth Hohl

Elisabeth was born on June 25th, 1850 in Donnelson, Lee Co, Iowa.  Elisabeth's father was John Nicholas Hohl and her mother was Anna Marie Frueh. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, John, Barbara, Margaret, Hannah and Catharine.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 69 on April 30th, 1920 in Ottawa, Franklin Co, Kansas.  She was buried in Highland Cemetery.

‌Elisabeth and August Carl were married in a religious ceremony on February 9th, 1873 in Franklin, Lee Co, Iowa.  They had nine sons and four daughters, named John Alfred, Carl August Jr, Christian Theodore, Frederick Louis, George William, Henry Albert, Herman Hugo, Oscar Benjamin, Peter Ernest, Amelia Ruth, Catherine Anna, Freda Elizabeth and Martha Barbara.
