Asahel Hulett 
Asahel was born on September 4th, 1768. Asahel's father was Mason Hulett and his mother was Elizabeth Mathewson. His paternal grandparents were John Hulett and Bernice Hale; his maternal grandparents were John Mathewson and Phoebe Steere. He had five brothers and a sister, named Nehemiah, John, Amos, Mason, Thomas and Phoebe. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 73 on February 4th, 1842 in Wallingford, VT, age 73. He was buried in Green Hill Cemetery.General Notes

The present race of Hulets of Wallingford all spring from the sons of Mason.
Ashel married first Olive, who died 1818. She was mother of all his children. He married 2 Esther Goodale, who was a Charter Member of the Board of Foreign Missions, and a member of the Old South Church, Boston, Mass. They lived on the farm now owned by their great grandson, Mr. Charles Gass, to whom I am indebted for much Hulett data.
Asahel Luke Hulett, son of Denis, had one daughter and two sons. The daughter, Esther, married a man by the name of Calahan now living in Manchester, Vt. The sons, John D and Dan Frank, live in the northern part of Vt.
Ashel Luke married 2. Had two sons, Richard, who married Miss Porter, and lives in West Danby, Gale Hulett, now living in Florida. There is another branch of the family settled in Pawlett, which descend from this John and Bernice (Hail) Hulett of Scituate, R.I.
