Joel Button was born on October 8th, 1839 in Ashtabula Co, OH. Joel Button's father was Ira Dolph and his mother was Eunice Mariah BUTTON. His paternal grandparents were Aaron Dolph and Catherine DeLong; his maternal grandparents were Gideon BUTTON and Polly Stone. He had a brother and four sisters, named James Eugene, Elizabeth, Delilah, Lydia and Elizabeth Jennie. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 85 on February 1st, 1925 in McCook, Red Willow, NE. He was buried in Marion Cemetery, Danbury, NE.General Notes
