Polly and Gideon were married in a religious ceremony in 1785 in Plainfield, Windham, Connecticut. They had five sons and eight daughters, named David, Putnam, Gideon S., James D., Charles N., Hannah, Hadasah, Polly, Susannah, Delia, Jerusha B., Belinda and Eunice Mariah.
