II Matthias BUTTON II 
Matthias was born on March 17th, 1657 in Haverhill, Essex, Massachusetts. Matthias' father was Matthias BUTTON (Bouton) and his mother was Ann TEAGLE (Tagall Or Teague?). His paternal grandparents were Thomas BUTTON and Mrs. Thomas BUTTON. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Daniel, Peter, Edward, Sarah, Hannah, Abigail, Elizabeth and Patience. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Daniel and Mary. He died at the age of 68 in 1725 in Plainfield, Windham County, Connecticut.General Notes
Mattias and Mary moved to Plainfield, Connecticut in 1690 and settled on land bought from the heirs of Governor Winthrop. A lot was drawn in Haverhill for Matthias' right as Commoner as late as 1721.
