Isabel FitzGilbert Countess Strigoil was born in 1171 in Pembroke. Wales.  Isabel FitzGilbert Countess Strigoil's father was 2nd Earl Richard "Strongbow" FitzGilbert Of Pembroke DE CLARE and her mother was Countess Aoife Mac Murough EVE.  Her paternal grandparents were Earl Gilbert FitzGilbert Of Pembroke and Hereford DE CLARE and Isabel DE BEAUMONT; her maternal grandparents were 58th Christian King Dairmait "King of the foreigners" Of Leinster MAC MURCHADA and Derbforgaill (Dervorgilla) Princess of Meath O'NEILL. She had a brother and a sister, named Robert and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 49 in 1220 in Pembroke. Wales.  She was buried in Tintern Abbey.

‌Isabel FitzGilbert Countess Strigoil and William "The Protector" Of Pembroke were married in a religious ceremony in August 1189 in Tower of London.  They had five sons and seven daughters, named Anselm, Gilbert, Richard, Walter, William "The Younger", Maud Matilda, Isabel, Joan, Eva, Sybil Of Derby, Johanna and Sybil.
