Richard "Strongbow" FitzGilbert Of Pembroke was born about 1130 in Tunbridge, England.  Richard "Strongbow" FitzGilbert Of Pembroke's father was Earl Gilbert FitzGilbert Of Pembroke and Hereford DE CLARE and his mother was Isabel DE BEAUMONT.  His paternal grandparents were Lord Gilbert FitzRichard Of Tonbridge And Cardigan DE CLARE and Adeliza DE CLERMONT; his maternal grandparents were 1st Earl Robert Of Leicester DE BEAUMONT and Elizabeth Isabella Of Vermandois DE CREPI VERMANDOIS.  He was an only child.  He died on April 20th, 1176 in Dublin, Ireland.  He was buried in Holy Trinity, Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, Leinster, Ireland.
