John Philhower

John was born in 1760 in Mountainville, Hunterdon, NJ.  John's father was Philip Philhower and his mother was Anna Maria Margaretha "Mary" Muller.  His paternal grandfather was Jurg Philip Wulhauer. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Christopher, William, Peter, Elizabeth, Anna Catherine, Mary (Polly), Charity Anna Gertrude and Catherine Ann.  He was the third oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 60 in 1820 in Tewsbury, Hunterdon, NJ.

They had a daughter named Susan.
