Blackman Burton 
Blackman was born on October 15th, 1779 in Chesterfield Co, VA. Blackman's father was Henry Burton and his mother was Anne Elam. His paternal grandparents were Charles Burton and Lovelady Franklin; his maternal grandfather was Gilbert Elam. He had a brother and four sisters, named German, Elizabeth, Nancy, Judith and Katherine. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 68 on March 7th, 1848 in Iva, Andersdon Co, SC.-
