Henry J. was born on January 19th, 1815. Henry J.'s father was Blackman Burton and his mother was Jinsey Yancy "Jinny" Saxon. His paternal grandparents were Henry Burton and Anne Elam; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Saxon and Mary Langdon. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Peyton Thompson, Allen, Ausburn, Blackman L., German Francis, James Davis, Lucinda, Louisa Marion , Adeline, Adeline Mary and Jane Wallace. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.-
