Mitchell 
Mitchell was born about 1815 in Newton Co, Ga. Mitchell's father was Joseph Man Mitchell and his mother was Sarah. His paternal grandparents were John Mitchell and Cosbie Workman. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Mitchell, Mitchell, Joseph Sanford, Marmaduke, Mitchell and Sarah. He was the oldest of the seven children.General Notes
