John A. Pollitt 
John A. was born on March 14th, 1855.1 John A.'s father was Alexander H. Pollitt and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Estes. His paternal grandfather was James Pollitt; his maternal grandparents were Lewis Estes and Anna Farris. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George Calvin, William Lewis, Robert J., Mary Ann, Sarah Ellen, Emma Caroline and Alice America. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
