Marguerite (Marie Marguerite) was born in 1749 in Pascagoula and her baptism took place in 1749. Marguerite (Marie Marguerite)'s father was Hugo Ernestus Krebs and her mother was Marie Josephe De La Pointe. Her paternal grandparents were Johann Krebs and Anna Charitas Fritsch. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Simon de Bai, Francois (Francisco), Pierre (Pedro), Mathias, Louis (Ludwig) Augustine, Marie Jeanne (Josephine, Josepha), Marie Jeanne and Marie Marguerite. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Hugo Daniel (Daniel Hugo), Antonie Raphael (elder), Bazile Basilio, Marie Theresa, Anna Charite (Charitas), Maria Rose and Cecilia (Lecille). She died before 1843.General Notes
Childbearing 1770-87 or 1801. Her first 10 children were born in a space of 17 years. Their wedding might have been a social event. Moved w/ Gradenigo to Opelousas, St. Landy Parish, LA between 1772 and 1774. "age estimated by father in 1776 26 yrs." Juan had done business in Mobile. He and Marguerite left Mobile and Pascagoula a few yrs after they had come under Britsh Dominion;they went to Opelousas in then Spanish Louisiana and made their home there. Her grandson Kreps is a FPoC in land and notarial records in Opelousas.
