Joseph Simon de Bai was born in 1742 in Pascagoula,Louisiana Territory and his baptism took place on January 11th, 1742 in Mobile. Joseph Simon de Bai's father was Hugo Ernestus Krebs and his mother was Marie Josephe De La Pointe. His paternal grandparents were Johann Krebs and Anna Charitas Fritsch. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Francois (Francisco), Pierre (Pedro), Mathias, Louis (Ludwig) Augustine, Marie Jeanne (Josephine, Josepha), Marie Jeanne, Marguerite (Marie Marguerite) and Marie Marguerite. He was the oldest of the nine children. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Hugo Daniel (Daniel Hugo), Antonie Raphael (elder), Bazile Basilio, Marie Theresa, Anna Charite (Charitas), Maria Rose and Cecilia (Lecille). He died at the age of 54 on September 26th, 1796 in New Orleans,LA.General Notes
