William Garretson 
William was born in 1716 in Mill Creek Hundred,New Castle Co. DE and his baptism took place in Mill Creek,New Castle,Delaware. William's father was Casparius Garretson and his mother was Ann Cox. His paternal grandparents were Jan ("John") Garretson Vanderhoff and Ann Thayer; his maternal grandparents were John I Cox and Rachel Harlan. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Joseph, Rebecca, Ann, Naomi and Martha. He had a half-brother named Nathan. He died at the age of 76 on December 15th, 1792 in Warrington,York Co.,Pennsylvania.General Notes
