John Garretson 
John was born on September 6th, 1715 in New Castle,DE and his baptism took place in Mill Creek,New Castle,Delaware. John's father was Casparius Garretson and his mother was Ann Cox. His paternal grandparents were Jan ("John") Garretson Vanderhoff and Ann Thayer; his maternal grandparents were John I Cox and Rachel Harlan. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William, Joseph, Rebecca, Ann, Naomi and Martha. He had a half-brother named Nathan.
