Edward III, known as The Confessor, was born in July 1002 in Islip,Oxfordshire,England.1   The Confessor's father was King Aethelred II (The Unready) De Wessex Of Saxon England and his mother was Emma De Normandy.  His paternal grandparents were King Edgar I (The Peaceful) De Wessex Of Saxon England and Elfrida Aelfthryth Of Mercia; his maternal grandparents were Duke Richard I (Sans Peur - The Fearless) De Normandy and Princess Emma Capet Of France. He had two brothers and a sister, named Edric, Alfred Aldred and Godgifu. He had seven half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Aethelstan, Ironside, Edred, Ecgbert, Edwy, Edgar, Harthacnute, Aelgifu Elgiva, Edith, Wulfhilda, Elgifu and ?.  He died at the age of 63 on January 5th, 1066 in LONDON,ENGLAND.  He was buried on January 6th, 1066 in Westminster Abbey,London,England.2 3
