Lazarus Spears 
Lazarus was born on September 29th, 1785 in ,Halifax, North Carolina.1 Lazarus' father was Samuel Spears and his mother was Sarah Spears. His paternal grandmother was Rosina Spears; his maternal grandparents were Kindred Spears and Elizabeth Jones. He had three brothers and three sisters, named David, Jesse, William, Phereba, Nancy Ann and Lucy. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named John, William, Spears, Matilda, Spears, Matilda and Spears. He died at the age of 63 on March 4th, 1849 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 General Notes
