Anna Sowards 
Anna was born on January 26th, 1866 in Worth County, Missouri.1 Anna's father was Henry Sowards and her mother was Matilda Brumfield. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Sowards and Rosannah Spears; her maternal grandparents were John Brumfield and Mary Plaster. She had ten brothers and four sisters, named John, Henry, James, Thomas Jefferson, Charles Albert, Isaac Anderson, Franklin, Amon, Griffin, Joseph, Eliza Jane, Mary Ann, Mahala and Martha. She was the fifth youngest of the fifteen children.-
